OnePlus Pad Go 2 & Lite Tablet Prices Rise by Up to ₹2,000 Amid Component Shortages

· · 2 min read

OnePlus has increased prices for its Pad Go 2 and Pad Go Lite tablets in India by up to ₹2,000. The hike, effective July 13, 2026, is attributed to rising RAM and NAND storage costs driven by surging AI hardware demand, impacting the broader tech market.

OnePlus has announced a price increase for its mid-range tablets, the OnePlus Pad Go 2 and Pad Go Lite, in the Indian market. Effective July 13, 2026, consumers can expect to pay up to ₹2,000 more for these devices.

The company attributes these adjustments to a challenging period in the consumer electronics market, primarily due to a global shortage of RAM and NAND storage components, exacerbated by the surging demand for AI hardware. This trend is not unique to OnePlus, as other major brands like Apple and Nothing have also implemented price hikes across various product categories.

Revised Pricing for OnePlus Pad Go 2

The OnePlus Pad Go 2 (Wi-Fi) base model with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage, initially priced at ₹28,999, now costs ₹29,999, reflecting a ₹1,000 increase. The 256GB storage variant is now available for ₹32,999. For users opting for cellular connectivity, the 8GB RAM + 256GB 5G model is priced at ₹35,999.

OnePlus Pad Go Lite Sees Significant Hike

The more budget-friendly OnePlus Pad Go Lite (Wi-Fi) has also seen its price adjusted. The 6GB RAM + 128GB storage model, previously ₹18,999, is now ₹19,999. The cellular version, featuring 8GB RAM, has experienced the steepest increase, rising by ₹2,000 from ₹20,999 to ₹22,999.

When compared to their initial launch prices, both tablets have seen cumulative increases of approximately ₹3,000. The OnePlus Pad Go 2 launched in December 2025 at a starting price of ₹26,999, while the OnePlus Pad Lite debuted in July 2025 starting at ₹15,999.

Industry-Wide Impact of Component Costs

The ongoing price increases for NAND and DRAM storage, alongside heightened demand for AI hardware, are pressuring manufacturers across the tech industry. This situation has led numerous smartphone brands to launch new devices with higher price tags, and companies like Apple have publicly announced price adjustments for their iPads, MacBooks, and other devices. Analysts anticipate further price hikes, potentially affecting upcoming flagship products like the iPhone 18 Pro Max series.
