Deepinder Goyal's Temple Wearable Priced at ₹85,000: BrainFlow Tech & Pre-Orders Open Nov 1

· · 2 min read

Zomato co-founder Deepinder Goyal's new Temple wearable focuses on brain-related signals, monitoring cerebral blood flow. Priced at ₹85,000 with a lifetime subscription, pre-orders for the limited first batch open November 1, 2026.

Deepinder Goyal, co-founder of food delivery giant Zomato, is venturing into a new frontier of wearable technology with his latest creation, Temple. Unlike conventional fitness trackers that monitor steps or heart rate, Temple focuses on brain-related physiological signals, specifically tracking changes in cerebral blood flow.

Early access invitations reveal the device carries a premium price tag of ₹85,000, which includes a lifetime subscription. This places Temple in a high-end segment of the wearable market, appealing to early adopters interested in advanced physiological monitoring. Pre-orders for the inaugural batch, dubbed 'Temple Batch 01', are set to commence on November 1, 2026.

Understanding Temple's BrainFlow Technology

Temple employs its proprietary BrainFlow technology, utilizing optical sensors to monitor signals linked to blood flow, oxygenation, and cognitive load within the brain. The device is designed to be worn discreetly on the side of the head, positioned between the forehead and the ear. It attaches to the skin using single-use adhesive strips, referred to as 'Grips'.

Beyond basic tracking, Temple also generates an 'Entropy score' ranging from 1 to 250. This score is intended to indicate physiological strain, influenced by various factors such as sleep quality, exercise intensity, stress levels, and even caffeine intake. It's important to note that Temple is positioned for wellness and research applications and is not intended for the diagnosis of medical conditions.

Pre-Order Details and Availability

The first batch of Temple wearables will be available in limited quantities, exclusively through the Temple app for invited users. Prospective buyers must use the email address associated with their invitation to place an order. Each device is handmade, and Goyal has indicated that customers can anticipate delivery within three months of ordering. This suggests that those who pre-order in November 2026 could receive their devices by early 2027.

While the ₹85,000 price point and lifetime subscription have been indicated through early access, the company has not yet formally confirmed the final retail price or the precise number of units planned for Batch 01. Temple is expected to be available in several color options, including True Gold, Rose Gold, Black Mirror, Real Jade, Deep Blue, and Purple Funk, though specific color availability may vary for the initial batch.

The device has already garnered attention, with Deepinder Goyal himself wearing it during a podcast appearance, and Indian badminton star PV Sindhu also spotted with the wearable during live matches, underscoring its unique appeal in the burgeoning health tech landscape.
