Shares of Juniper Green Energy and MV Electrosystems are poised to make their Dalal Street debut on Thursday, August 6, 2026. Both initial public offerings (IPOs) concluded their subscription periods between July 30 and August 3, with market observers anticipating a positive listing for both based on their grey market premiums (GMPs).
Juniper Green Energy IPO: Details and Outlook
The Juniper Green Energy IPO was offered in a price band of Rs 214-225 per share, with a lot size of 66 shares. The company successfully raised Rs 1,800 crore through the offering, which comprised an entirely fresh issue of up to 8,00,09,150 equity shares. The issue saw strong investor interest, being subscribed 7.97 times overall, attracting nearly 2.20 lakh applications and bids exceeding Rs 10,600 crore.
Ahead of its listing, Juniper Green Energy's grey market premium (GMP) experienced a significant surge, reaching Rs 22-25 per share, up from Rs 1-3 apiece at the close of bidding. This suggests a potential listing gain of 10-11 per cent for investors. Juniper Green Energy, based in New Delhi, is a prominent Indian renewable energy independent power producer (IPP), focusing on developing, building, operating, and maintaining utility-scale renewable energy projects.
ICICI Securities, HSBC Securities & Capital Markets, JM Financial, and Kotak Mahindra Company served as the book-running lead managers for the IPO, with Kfin Technologies Ltd as the registrar.
MV Electrosystems IPO: Performance and Projections
MV Electrosystems offered its shares in a price band of Rs 400-425 per share, with a lot size of 34 shares. The company raised Rs 290 crore through its IPO, which was also an entirely fresh share sale of up to 68,23,528 equity shares. This IPO witnessed an exceptional response, being subscribed a remarkable 188.85 times overall, with approximately 37.77 lakh applications and bids totaling over Rs 32,000 crore.
Despite strong bidding, MV Electrosystems' grey market premium (GMP) saw some correction before listing. It was last reported at Rs 105-110 per share, down from Rs 120-130 during the bidding period. Nonetheless, this still indicates a robust potential listing pop of 25-26 per cent for investors. Faridabad-based MV Electrosystems specializes in the design, development, assembly, and manufacturing of electrical and power electronics equipment used in railway rolling stock.
Sundae Capital Advisors acted as the sole book-running lead manager for MV Electrosystems IPO, with Kfin Technologies as the registrar.
Investor Considerations and Expert Advice
Mahesh M Ojha, VP of Research at Kantilal Chhaganlal Securities, offered insights for investors. For Juniper Green Energy, he suggested that investors with a short-term horizon might consider booking listing gains. Those with a 2-3 year investment horizon could hold their positions, anticipating sustainable earnings growth driven by project execution and improving operational cash flows. However, he advised fresh investors to wait 1-2 quarters for better visibility on project commissioning, earnings trajectory, leverage, and cash flow generation before taking new exposure.
For MV Electrosystems, Ojha recommended that allottees consider booking partial profits on listing while retaining the remaining position for medium- to long-term value creation. New investors were advised to await price stabilization and improved earnings visibility before considering an entry into the stock.
