Indian ethnicwear giant Frontier Raas, a brand with a legacy spanning over seven decades, has announced the opening of its latest retail outlet in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. The strategic move, inaugurated on November 1, 2026, reinforces the company's commitment to expanding its footprint in India's lucrative bridal, festive, and premium occasionwear segments.

New Destination for Wedding and Festive Shopping

The new Frontier Raas Ahmedabad store is meticulously designed to serve as a comprehensive destination for wedding and festive apparel. Gujarat, renowned for its deep-rooted heritage in textile manufacturing, intricate weaving, and exquisite craftsmanship, provides an ideal backdrop for the brand's latest venture. The store offers a wide array of products, including:

  • Bridal couture and occasionwear
  • Handloom saris featuring traditional weaves like Banarasi Kadhwa, Jamdani, Kanjivaram, Patan Patola, Sambalpuri Ikat, and Bandhani
  • Festive clothing and premium menswear collections

The interiors of the outlet draw inspiration from Indian design principles, incorporating rich materials, textures, and lighting to create a personalized and immersive shopping experience for clients selecting outfits for significant life events.

Celebrating India's Textile Heritage

The inauguration event, attended by actor Kangana Ranaut alongside prominent business figures and fashion community members, underscored India's diverse regional textile heritage. A standout ensemble, inspired by Maharani Jamnabai Gaekwad of Baroda, showcased a fusion of Gujarati Bandhani tie-dye craftsmanship with Paithani woven borders, mirror work, gota detailing, resham embroidery, and bead embellishments.

The featured sari incorporated traditional motifs such as Lord Ganesha, Goddess Lakshmi, peacocks, and lotuses, complemented by handcrafted tassels reflecting Gujarati tribal artistry. Anil Batra, Chairman of Frontier Raas, emphasized the brand's dedication to preserving traditional weaving skills and valuing the artisans behind these timeless textiles.

Expanding Reach Nationally and Globally

The Ahmedabad opening is a key part of Frontier Raas's broader retail expansion strategy. In addition to its growing presence within India, the brand also serves international markets, including the United Kingdom, the UAE, and the United States, bringing authentic Indian craftsmanship to a global clientele.
