While retaining several design elements from its predecessor, the OnePlus 15, including a familiar square camera module and button layout, the OnePlus 16 introduces a groundbreaking feature: the “Interstellar Lighting Effect.” This innovative rear-panel lighting system is designed to notify users of incoming calls, text messages, and even game highlights, making the phone visually distinctive.
The unique lighting effect is exclusive to the “Tomorrow’s Starlight” variant, a silver-colored model. This specific version features multiple illuminated areas on its back, including a star symbol, “Area 16” text, and two sets of coordinates, enhancing its futuristic appeal.

The OnePlus 16 will be available in three sophisticated colorways: “Tomorrow’s Starlight,” “The Dark Forest,” and “A Martian Masterpiece.”
Beyond its aesthetic upgrades, the OnePlus 16 boasts impressive internal specifications. The company has confirmed that there will be no 8GB RAM option; instead, users can choose between 12GB or 16GB of RAM. Storage configurations include 256GB, 512GB, and a substantial 1TB.

While the OnePlus 16 has been officially revealed and opened for pre-bookings in China, its availability in other regions remains partially uncertain. Reports suggest that OnePlus might introduce the OnePlus 16R as its flagship model in India, though this has not been officially confirmed. The company has, however, stated that the OnePlus 16 will not be released in the United States or Europe.
