Introducing Lava Neo UI
Alongside the smartphone launch, Lava also unveiled its first proprietary Android-based software interface, named Neo UI. This new user interface is currently undergoing beta testing and is projected to roll out to existing Lava phones in Q4 2026.
Sumit Singh, SVP and Product Head at Lava, emphasized the focus on personalization: “One of the biggest things coming with Neo UI will be a lot of customisation. You can customise your phone and create your own identity in the UI.” He further explained, “Everybody has different tastes. Some people like circles, some like squares, while others prefer black and white. Just like you choose your clothes, your phone is also a part of you.”
The Neo UI aims to offer extensive customization options, allowing users to tailor their phone's appearance and functionality to their preferences. Singh also hinted at a new gallery application called "Frames," which will include various features and app customization capabilities within the Neo UI ecosystem.
