Amazon India has officially announced the dates for its highly anticipated Great Indian Festival 2026. The major festive sale is set to commence on October 8, bringing a wave of discounts and exclusive offers across a wide array of products.

Massive Savings and Bank Offers Expected

Customers can look forward to significant price reductions on various items, particularly in the electronics segment, including smartphones, televisions, laptops, tablets, and accessories. Amazon has also teased a 10% instant discount for shoppers using SBI Credit and Debit Cards, applicable to both direct purchases and EMI transactions. Prime members will receive an additional 10% discount on their purchases, enhancing the savings even further.

Beyond product deals, Amazon Prime subscribers will also gain access to new entertainment content. The platform plans to launch several new titles on Prime Video as part of its festive entertainment lineup, spanning various genres and languages, including Amazon Originals.

Amazon's Preparations for the Festive Rush

Saurabh Srivastava, VP, Amazon India, emphasized the company's commitment to delivering value.

"This year, customers across Bharat can look forward to the lowest prices of the year on crores of products, blockbuster deals, and exciting new launches, with the largest selection across premium and value products delivered within minutes, hours, same-day or the next," he stated.

To support the massive scale of the Great Indian Festival, Amazon has undertaken its largest-ever operational expansion in India. This includes adding 20 new fulfillment centres, 6 new sort centres, and 150 new last-mile delivery stations. These infrastructure upgrades are designed to ensure faster and more reliable deliveries across the country.

Boosting Employment and Seller Network

The e-commerce giant has also created over 160,000 seasonal employment opportunities across more than 400 cities in India, covering both metropolitan and Tier 2 and Tier 3 regions. This initiative helps manage the increased demand during the festive period while providing temporary work opportunities.

Amazon's seller base continues to expand, now supporting over 1.7 million sellers reaching customers nationwide. In the past year alone, more than 300,000 new sellers have joined the platform, contributing to a total of over 20 lakh (2 million) sellers. This growth ensures a diverse and extensive product selection for consumers during the Great Indian Festival.
