Tom Holland's latest cinematic outing, "Spider-Man: Brand New Day," has achieved monumental success at the global box office, grossing an astounding $1.188 billion worldwide in just eight days. The film is rapidly approaching the coveted $1.2 billion milestone, a feat rarely accomplished by superhero movies in their opening week.
In India, the web-slinger's appeal proved equally strong. "Spider-Man: Brand New Day" has swung past ₹400.21 crore gross at the Indian box office, establishing itself as the highest-grossing Hollywood release in the country this year. The film's net India box office earnings stood at ₹334.70 crore.
The film's impressive run in India included a day one collection of ₹60.60 crore, followed by ₹49.35 crore on day two, and a significant ₹70.25 crore on day three. Its performance was bolstered across multiple languages, with English shows contributing ₹182.60 crore and Hindi shows adding ₹119.60 crore. Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam language versions also contributed to the substantial earnings.
Globally, the film's $1.188 billion total includes over $508.8 million from the US and Canada markets, with international territories contributing more than $706.3 million. Notably, "Spider-Man: Brand New Day" achieved this without an IMAX release in North America, a slot occupied by Christopher Nolan's "The Odyssey." However, its international launch benefited significantly from full IMAX releases in key Asian markets such as China, Japan, and South Korea, underscoring its broad appeal.
