"Hanuman Ansh" Nears ₹300 Crore Worldwide; Dubai Shows Sell Out Amid Box Office Phenomenon

· · 2 min read

Devotional drama "Hanuman Ansh" is set to hit ₹300 crore worldwide after surpassing ₹270 crore in its sixth week. Produced on a ₹2 crore budget, the film has delivered over 100 times its investment, with late-night shows in Dubai selling out.

The devotional drama Hanuman Ansh has emerged as one of the most surprising box office successes of 2026, rapidly approaching the ₹300 crore mark globally. Despite its modest production budget of approximately ₹2 crore, the film has achieved an astounding return on investment exceeding 100 times, making it the smallest Indian film to join the prestigious ₹270 crore worldwide club.

As of its sixth week in theaters, Hanuman Ansh has accumulated ₹279.80 crore at the global box office. Domestically, the film had already surpassed ₹192 crore in net collections by its 35th day, before its international release commenced on September 11.

Overseas Debut Fuels Global Surge

The international rollout, managed by Hombale Films, injected fresh momentum into the film's total earnings. Strong advance bookings in North America, reportedly around $100,000 (₹95.83 lakh), hinted at significant interest from the Indian diaspora. The enthusiasm was particularly palpable in the Gulf region.

According to trade analyst Ravi Gupta, theaters in Dubai displayed "housefull" boards, with late-night screenings for the Neem Karoli Baba biopic completely sold out, indicating a massive turnout from Indian expatriates.

Earlier cumulative figures from Sacnilk estimated the film's worldwide gross at approximately ₹277.8 crore, comprising roughly ₹263.3 crore from India and ₹14.5 crore from overseas markets, across more than 1.28 lakh shows.

Sustained Success Amidst New Releases

Even with the arrival of major new releases and high-profile OTT debuts, such as Mirzapur: The Movie and Haiwaan, Hanuman Ansh has remarkably maintained its position as the number one film at the Indian box office throughout its sixth week. The compelling word-of-mouth surrounding its Neem Karoli Baba-inspired narrative has driven repeat viewings and sustained strong weekday collections, an unusual feat for a low-budget devotional film.

With daily collections frequently reaching double-digit crore figures during its run and a rapidly expanding international presence, Hanuman Ansh is redefining the commercial viability and potential of faith-based storytelling within Indian cinema.
