· · 3 min read

Delhi Metro services will run until midnight for Diljit Dosanjh's Aura India Tour concert at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium on October 30, 2026. Traffic restrictions and parking curbs are in place for the expected 70,000 attendees.

Anticipation is high for Diljit Dosanjh's Aura India Tour 2026 concert at Delhi's Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium (JLN Stadium) on Friday, October 30. With approximately 70,000 spectators expected, authorities have implemented special arrangements for public transport and traffic management to ensure smooth movement for concert-goers.

Delhi Metro Services Extended Until Midnight

The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has announced extended operational hours for the concert day. Metro train services will run until midnight on all lines, with the exception of the Airport Express Line and Gurugram's Rapid Metro. This extension aims to accommodate the large influx of fans travelling to and from the venue.

In addition to extended hours, DMRC plans to operate extra train trips across the network for efficient dispersal of spectators post-event. Standby trains will also be available for deployment if an unforeseen surge in passenger traffic occurs. The window for purchasing QR tickets via the DMRC mobile app, 'Delhi Metro Sarthi', has also been extended by one hour.

For enhanced passenger convenience and safety, additional DMRC staff, customer service personnel, and security personnel will be deployed at JLN Stadium Metro Station and other key interchange stations. Door Frame Metal Detectors (DFMDs) and strengthened security screening will be in place.

The JLN Stadium Metro Station, located on the Violet Line (Kashmere Gate - Raja Nahar Singh corridor), is the closest station to the concert venue. Fans can access Gates 13, 14, and 17 from JLN Stadium and Jangpura stations. INA and Jor Bagh stations on the Yellow Line can be used for designated drop-off points near Gates 3, 6, and 8.

Traffic Restrictions and Parking Information

The Delhi Traffic Police have issued an advisory detailing significant traffic restrictions around JLN Stadium from 1:00 PM to midnight on October 30. No public parking will be available at or immediately surrounding the venue.

Affected Roads and Diversions

Traffic movement will be impacted on several key routes, including Bhishm Pitamah Marg, Lodhi Road, Lala Lajpat Rai Marg (between Defence Colony and Lodhi Colony Flyover), Arch Bishop Marg, 4th Avenue Road, and 5th Avenue Road. Restrictions will also affect the Barapullah Flyover stretch between INA and Jangpura Metro Gate 2, Dayal Singh College Road, and internal roads within the CGO Complex and Lodhi Colony.

Diversions will be enforced at various intersections, particularly on Lala Lajpat Rai Marg and Bhishm Pitamah Marg, to manage traffic flow away from the stadium. Commuters are advised to plan their journeys in advance, avoid affected roads, and utilize public transport.

Designated Parking and Drop-off Points

Attendees travelling by private vehicles must use designated parking facilities at Sunehri Pula Bus Depot and Dayal Singh College. Taxis and auto-rickshaws are required to use specific pick-up and drop-off points. Commuters are urged to allow extra travel time, follow instructions from traffic personnel, and refrain from roadside parking near the stadium.

Artist Urges Early Arrival

Diljit Dosanjh himself has encouraged fans to arrive early for the concert, which has a strict 10:00 PM deadline, to ensure the show can begin by 7:30 PM. He also reiterated the importance of using Delhi Metro services and avoiding private vehicles due to the lack of parking at JLN Stadium.
