Escorts Kubota Announces November Tractor Price Hike Amid Rising Costs; Stock Dips 2%

· · 2 min read

Escorts Kubota will raise prices across its Kubota, Farmtrac, and Powertrac tractor ranges starting November 2026. The company cites sustained pressure from rising input costs, leading to a 2% dip in its shares.

NEW DELHI – Escorts Kubota Ltd. has announced a price increase across its entire range of tractors, effective November 2026, following the festive season. The engineering conglomerate's Agri Machinery Business Division confirmed that the revision will impact its popular Kubota, Farmtrac, and Powertrac tractor models.

Rising Input Costs Drive Price Adjustment

The company attributes the necessity for this tractor price hike to persistent pressure from escalating input costs. Factors such as raw materials, energy, logistics, and manufacturing expenses have been significantly affected by inflationary trends, ongoing geopolitical uncertainties, and rupee depreciation.

According to Escorts Kubota, the price increase will vary across different models, variants, and geographical regions. Customers will be able to access the revised pricing details through authorized dealerships.

Company Efforts to Mitigate Impact

In response to the challenging cost environment, Escorts Kubota has undertaken several measures over the past months, including cost-reduction, cost-optimization, and operational efficiency initiatives. The company stated it had absorbed a substantial portion of these increased expenses to minimize the burden on customers. However, the continued adverse cost conditions necessitated a calibrated price revision to partially offset the impact while keeping the increase for customers to a minimum.

Manish Sharma, President of Agri Business at Escorts Kubota, commented on the situation, stating, “The company had made efforts to minimise the impact of rising input costs on customers.” He added that this measured revision would help Escorts Kubota sustain its commitment to quality, innovation, and customer value.

Stock Market Reaction and Business Overview

Following the announcement, Escorts Kubota shares saw a decline, falling 2% in Friday's trade. The stock touched a low of Rs 2,570.05, down 1.90% from its previous close of Rs 2,619.90.

Escorts Kubota, an engineering firm with diverse interests in agricultural machinery and construction equipment, has recently expanded its tractor portfolio. This expansion includes the introduction of the Farmtrac PROMAXX series, Powertrac Shaurya series, and an enlarged Digitrac range, alongside new additions to its Kubota portfolio like the NeoStar and MU series. These strategic expansions, coupled with an increased dealer network, aim to provide farmers with a broader selection of tractors tailored to various agricultural requirements.
