Dhurandhar 3 Teased: Producers Hint at Ranveer Singh Franchise Future

· · 2 min read

Jio Studios co-producer Jyoti Deshpande recently hinted at a potential third installment in the 'Dhurandhar' film franchise, starring Ranveer Singh. This follows the success of the first two films, sparking fan speculation about the next chapter.

Speculation is mounting among fans of the 'Dhurandhar' film franchise, led by actor Ranveer Singh, after Jio Studios co-producer Jyoti Deshpande suggested that the series is far from over. Her remarks have ignited discussions about a possible third installment, despite earlier comments from an actor involved in the films.

Future of the Dhurandhar Franchise

Speaking to Bollywood Hungama, Deshpande offered a tantalizing hint regarding the franchise's future. She stated, "We’re not done with Dhurandhar yet. We’ll hopefully have a surprise for the audience later this year. There’s something up our sleeves." This statement comes on the heels of the significant success enjoyed by both 'Dhurandhar' and its sequel, 'Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge'.

The producer's comments have fueled considerable excitement, suggesting that Ranveer Singh could reprise his role in a new film or that the franchise might expand in other ways. Fans are now eagerly awaiting an official announcement to clarify the nature of this impending surprise.

Conflicting Statements and Franchise Potential

Deshpande's recent remarks contrast with earlier statements made by actor Rakesh Bedi, who portrayed Jameel Jamali in the Aditya Dhar-directed films. In an interview with Zoom, Bedi had previously downplayed the likelihood of a third part. "I don’t think a third part will happen," he commented, adding, "The story ends with the spy going back to his nation." However, Bedi did acknowledge the franchise's potential beyond the initial storyline, noting it "can be made with some other actors at any given point of time."

Meanwhile, actress Yami Gautam, also associated with the film's success, recently reflected on the impact of 'Dhurandhar'. Speaking to Grazia, she praised director Aditya Dhar, stating, "Nothing has changed us as people. That also comes from Aditya, and the kind of person he is, very unaffected and extremely humble." Her comments, while not directly addressing a third film, underscore the positive atmosphere surrounding the successful franchise.

What's Next for Dhurandhar?

For now, the future of the 'Dhurandhar' franchise remains a topic of intense speculation. While Deshpande's teaser has undoubtedly renewed interest, the path to a third installment may not be straightforward, given previous statements. Fans will need to await an official announcement from the makers to learn what lies ahead for Ranveer Singh's spy saga.
