Tempsens Instruments (India), a leading temperature sensor manufacturer, is launching its Initial Public Offering on August 20. The IPO is priced between Rs 285-300 per share, aiming to raise Rs 650 crore.

Tempsens Instruments (India), a prominent manufacturer of temperature sensors and specialised cables, is set to open its Initial Public Offering (IPO) for subscription on August 20. The Rajasthan-based company has fixed the IPO price band at Rs 285-300 per equity share, with the aim of raising Rs 650 crore.

Key Dates and Issue Structure

The public issue will be available for subscription from August 20 to August 24, 2026. Prior to this, the one-day anchor book is scheduled to open on August 19. Investors will have the opportunity to apply for a minimum of 50 equity shares, with applications allowed in multiples of 50 shares thereafter.

The Rs 650 crore IPO comprises two main components: a fresh issue of shares worth Rs 95 crore and an Offer for Sale (OFS) of 1.85 crore equity shares, valued at Rs 555 crore, by existing promoters and other selling shareholders. A dedicated portion of Rs 1.5 crore worth of shares has been reserved for employees.

Company Profile and Financial Performance

Tempsens Instruments holds a significant position in the thermal engineering sector, boasting a 10.5 percent market share in the overall temperature sensor segment and 21.3 percent in the non-contact temperature sensor market. The company operates globally with 15 manufacturing units, including ten in Udaipur, India, and five overseas facilities.

Its product portfolio spans three core verticals: temperature sensing solutions, electrical heating solutions, and specialised cables. For the fiscal year ending March 2026, Tempsens Instruments reported a profit of Rs 67.3 crore, marking an 11.2 percent increase from the previous year's Rs 60.6 crore. Revenue also saw a healthy rise of 17.5 percent, reaching Rs 444.9 crore compared to Rs 378.5 crore in the prior year.

Utilization of IPO Proceeds

The funds generated from the fresh issue portion of the IPO are earmarked for strategic growth initiatives. Approximately Rs 18.1 crore will be allocated towards capital expenditure for expanding its electrical heating and specialised cable solutions. A substantial Rs 55 crore is designated for debt repayment, while the remaining capital will be utilized for general corporate purposes.

Post-IPO Timeline

ICICI Securities and JM Financial are serving as the merchant bankers for the issue, with KFin Technologies appointed as the official registrar. Share allotment is anticipated to be finalized by August 25, and Tempsens Instruments is expected to list on both the National Stock Exchange (NSE) and Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on August 28.
