The 2026 Candere Hurun India Women Leaders List has revealed an unexpected commonality among the nation's most influential female executives: their zodiac signs. Scorpio women lead the pack, emerging as the most frequently represented astrological sign among India's top female leaders, according to the comprehensive study.
Scorpio Dominates Leadership Ranks
The study, which mapped the zodiac distribution of 117 women leaders across various sectors, found that Scorpio accounts for 12 representatives, making up 13% of all honourees. This marks Scorpio's continued prominence as the most common zodiac sign among India's leading women.
Following closely, Pisces and Virgo jointly secure the second position, each contributing 11 women to the list. Together, these two signs represent 37% of the total cohort. Libra moved up to fourth place with nine representatives, while Aries and Gemini each featured eight women. Cancer, Capricorn, and Aquarius were tied with seven representatives apiece, with Leo completing the top ten with five women.

The 2026 Candere Hurun India Women Leaders List expanded significantly, featuring 117 women—a 21% increase from the 97 honourees in 2025. These influential women come from diverse backgrounds, shaping culture, sports, social impact, and building billion-dollar companies.
The list includes prominent figures such as Biocon founder Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw, HCLTech chairperson Roshni Nadar Malhotra, Nykaa founder Falguni Nayar, Godrej Industries chairperson Nisaba Godrej, and acclaimed writer Sudha Murty. It also recognizes journalists like Faye D'Souza, Barkha Dutt, and Palki Sharma Upadhyay, alongside entrepreneurs and creators such as Namita Thapar, Kusha Kapila, and Ananya Birla.
Collectively, the honourees boast a staggering combined valuation of ₹39 lakh crore, a figure that surpasses the GDP of Finland, according to Hurun.

The women celebrated on the list span seven decades in age, with an average age of 48. The youngest honouree is 19-year-old para-archer Sheetal Devi, while the oldest is 86-year-old veteran entrepreneur Rajni Bector.
