Since assuming his role as FDA Commissioner in May 2026, Mundhe has initiated one of Maharashtra's most extensive campaigns against food adulteration and unsafe products. - Nagpur Municipal Commissioner (2020): During the initial phase of the COVID-19 pandemic, Mundhe was instrumental in leading containment efforts in Nagpur. His tenure was characterized by strengthened testing, rigorous contact tracing, vigilant monitoring of hospital readiness, and strict enforcement of public health protocols.
