Gaurav Sharma, a market expert from Globe Capital, has offered his perspective on several prominent Indian stocks, advising investors to exercise caution at current market levels. Sharma highlighted the 23,750 mark as a crucial resistance point for the benchmark Nifty50 index.
GRSE: Defence PSU Analysis
Addressing specific queries regarding Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers Ltd (GRSE), Sharma noted that the defence Public Sector Undertaking (PSU) delivered a "seller set of numbers." Despite this, he projects the stock could advance towards the Rs 3,500 level in the near term.
Bandhan Bank: Small Banks Outperform
Sharma observed a notable shift in the current earnings season, with smaller banks showing stronger performance compared to their larger counterparts. He specifically pointed to Bandhan Bank Ltd as a strong performer, predicting the stock could quickly reach around Rs 220. For investors holding Bandhan Bank, Sharma recommended maintaining their positions, while traders might consider booking profits near the Rs 220 mark.
Power Sector: Suzlon, Tata Power, Inox Wind
The power segment remains a bullish area for Sharma. He identified Suzlon Energy Ltd as a top pick within Globe Capital's coverage list, carrying a 'Buy' rating. Sharma believes Suzlon has the potential to climb above Rs 65 very soon, noting its stellar performance in the preceding month.
Beyond Suzlon, Sharma expressed optimism for Tata Power Company Ltd. He suggested that while Tata Power has been more subtle in its movements compared to the significant rally seen in Adani Power Ltd, it is poised to begin its upward trajectory, potentially rising towards Rs 480 and higher levels. He also advised keeping Inox Wind on the radar as another promising stock in the power space.
Broader Market & PSU Banks
In addition to the specific stocks, Sharma reiterated his positive stance on the broader PSU banking sector. He maintains a bullish outlook on key players like State Bank of India (SBI) and Canara Bank Ltd.
