Jhareshwar Bhakat, who built his house almost two decades ago, had faced continuous struggles to secure a formal power connection despite numerous applications to local authorities.
For nearly two decades, the family had adapted to life without basic electrical amenities, a stark contrast to the modern conveniences many take for granted. This long-standing issue was finally resolved through the persistent efforts of local Trinamool Congress (TMC) leaders, the electricity department, and police administration.
Years of Darkness End
Sanjay Bhakat, Jhareshwar’s son, played a crucial role in advocating for his family. After repeated unsuccessful attempts with the electricity department and municipality, Sanjay approached local TMC leaders in Ward No. 14. This intervention proved decisive, leading to the installation of an electricity connection last Friday.
Sanjay expressed immense relief and gratitude, highlighting the previous frustrations of their unheeded applications. He specifically thanked the state's Chief Minister, Mamata Banerjee, and the Trinamool leaders for their support, emphasizing their commitment to helping vulnerable citizens.
