The leaders are scheduled to assemble at the Parliament before proceeding to the summit venue at Bharat Mandapam. Traffic Management and Public Advisory
Ahead of the BRICS Summit, scheduled from September 11 to 13 at Bharat Mandapam, the Delhi Traffic Police has issued a comprehensive advisory outlining extensive traffic restrictions. The New Delhi district and surrounding areas will experience diversions and controlled access, with over 35 roads affected and 22 diversion points established.
Key Restrictions and Recommendations:
- Prohibited Routes: Motorists are strongly advised to avoid major thoroughfares including Mathura Road, Subramaniam Bharti Marg, Tees January Marg, Shanti Path, Sardar Patel Marg, and Janpath, among others.
- Airport Travel: For those traveling to and from Delhi airport, the Metro is highly recommended due to anticipated traffic disruptions. Specific suggested routes have been provided for travelers from various parts of Delhi-NCR.
- Railway Stations: Special routes have also been designated for passengers accessing major railway stations like New Delhi, Old Delhi, and Hazrat Nizamuddin.
