Vivo has offered an official sneak peek at the design of its highly anticipated X500 series, set to debut in China on September 21. The lineup, which includes the Vivo X500, X500 Pro, and X500 Pro Max, reveals distinct aesthetic choices, particularly concerning their camera configurations.
Distinct Camera Designs for Standard and Pro Models
The standard Vivo X500 model features a redesigned rear camera setup. It incorporates a circular camera unit positioned towards the left within a rectangular camera island, with the LED flash situated outside this circular section. This model is expected to be available in four color options: white, grey, pink, and black.
In contrast, the Vivo X500 Pro and X500 Pro Max adopt a different, more prominent design. These Pro models are characterized by a large, centrally positioned circular camera module. The X500 Pro Max is also anticipated to include an additional button on its left side. Color choices for the Pro variants are expected to include white, grey, orange, and black.
Advanced Photography and Video Capabilities
Vivo is heavily emphasizing significant advancements in mobile photography and video recording across the new X500 series. The company asserts that the lineup will cater to professional-level video creation, introducing features such as high dynamic range (HDR) Log recording, 4K slow-motion video, and enhanced subject tracking capabilities.
Further details confirm support for cinema-grade HDR Log video, 4K 240fps slow-motion recording, and Super Video Tracking. The series will also enable 4K native cinematic Live and 8K native Live recording, pushing the boundaries of smartphone video capture.
Pro Series Camera Hardware Enhancements
Specifically for the Vivo X500 Pro series, the company has confirmed CIPA 7.0-level stabilization for both the main and periscope telephoto cameras. The main camera will utilize a new BluePrint Light Royal 900 sensor, which Vivo claims can deliver an impressive 17EV dynamic range, promising exceptional detail and clarity in various lighting conditions.
