OnePlus has implemented a substantial price hike across its smartphone portfolio, affecting popular models in both the Nord and N series. Consumers looking to purchase a OnePlus device may now find prices up to ₹4,000 higher, with the brand's most affordable 5G options now exceeding the ₹20,000 mark.
Budget 5G Phones Face Pressure
The price adjustments are particularly impactful for buyers in the budget segment. The OnePlus N6x, previously available for ₹19,999 for its 4GB RAM/64GB storage variant, now starts at ₹20,999. The 4GB/128GB version has similarly increased from ₹20,999 to ₹22,999.
The OnePlus N6 also saw a ₹2,000 increase across both configurations. Its 4GB/128GB model is now ₹24,999 (up from ₹22,999), and the 6GB/128GB version is ₹26,999 (up from ₹24,999). These changes make it increasingly challenging for consumers to find new 5G smartphones from major brands below the ₹20,000 price point.
Nord Series Also Sees Increases
The price adjustments extend to OnePlus's popular Nord lineup. The Nord 6 8GB/256GB variant now costs ₹46,999, an increase from its previous price of ₹44,999. The 12GB/256GB model has also gone up from ₹50,999 to ₹52,999.
The Nord CE 6 has become ₹2,000 more expensive for both its configurations. The 8GB/128GB model is now priced at ₹37,999, while the 8GB/256GB version costs ₹41,999.
Perhaps the most significant increases were observed in the Nord CE 6 Lite series. The 6GB/128GB variant moved from ₹25,999 to ₹28,999, and the 8GB/128GB model increased from ₹27,999 to ₹30,999. The 8GB/256GB version now stands at ₹34,999, up from ₹30,999.
Implications for Buyers
These latest OnePlus price hikes mean that finding an affordable and capable 5G smartphone, especially below ₹20,000, will be more difficult. With multiple OnePlus models becoming costlier, prospective buyers may need to explore alternatives more thoroughly.
Consumers with a fixed budget might consider examining older smartphone models, looking for attractive bank offers, or comparing devices from competing brands to ensure they get the best value without overstretching their spending limits.
