E-commerce giant Flipkart has introduced a new perk for its Plus members: a free monthly Netflix Mobile subscription. This offer, however, comes with specific conditions that eligible members must meet each month to activate the benefit.
How to Qualify for Free Netflix Mobile
To qualify for the complimentary Netflix Mobile subscription, Flipkart Plus members need to fulfill a monthly shopping requirement. Users must place four successful orders within the same calendar month. Each of these orders must have a minimum value of Rs 299.
The qualifying orders can be made across Flipkart's various platforms, including Flipkart, Flipkart Minutes, and Flipkart Grocery. It's important to note that any cancelled or returned orders will not count towards the monthly total.
Claiming Your Subscription
The Netflix Mobile subscription is not automatically activated once the conditions are met. After completing the fourth qualifying order, users must manually claim the offer through the Flipkart app. This can be done by navigating to the "My Account" section and selecting "Plus." There, members will find the Netflix benefit with a "Claim" or "Activate" option.
Upon claiming, users will be prompted to link an existing Netflix account or create a new one using their email address or mobile number to activate the subscription.
Phased Rollout and Netflix Mobile Features
Flipkart is rolling out this new benefit in phases, meaning not all Plus members may see the offer immediately. If the option isn't available, users might find an option to join a waitlist to gain access once it's fully implemented.
The Netflix Mobile plan allows users to stream content on one smartphone or tablet at a time in standard definition (SD) quality. Subscribers will have access to Netflix's entire content catalogue available in India, without any restrictions due to the Flipkart offer. However, this plan does not support streaming on TVs or laptops/desktops, does not offer HD or Ultra HD quality, and restricts simultaneous streaming on multiple devices.
