Key Stock Movers and Quarterly Results

Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles (TMPV)

The homegrown automaker reported a 31.7% year-on-year fall in net profit, reaching Rs 5,783 crore for the March 2026 quarter. However, revenue increased by 7.2% year-on-year to Rs 1,05,447 crore. The company also announced a dividend of Rs 3 per share.

HCL Technologies

The IT solutions major has entered a strategic collaboration with Red Hat. This partnership aims to deliver enterprise-grade AI infrastructure, accelerating AI adoption journeys for organizations.

JSW Steel

The metal giant reported a substantial nearly 11-fold rise in net profit, reaching Rs 16,370 crore for the three months ended March 31, 2026. Revenue increased by 14.2% year-on-year to Rs 51,180 crore, with EBITDA rising 35.4% year-on-year to Rs 8,634 crore. A dividend of Rs 7.10 per share was declared.

Apollo Tyres

Apollo Tyres saw a significant 241% year-on-year jump in net profit, reaching Rs 631 crore for the first three months of 2026. Revenue grew 14% year-on-year to Rs 7,336 crore, and EBITDA increased 28% year-on-year to Rs 1,069 crore, achieving a margin of 14.6%. The company announced a final dividend of Rs 2.50 per share.

Muthoot Finance

The gold-loan major reported a 105% year-on-year surge in net profit, totaling Rs 3,086.2 crore for the January-March 2026 period. Revenue increased by 65% year-on-year to Rs 9,288.7 crore. Assets Under Management (AUM) expanded by 50% to Rs 1,62,826 crore, and a dividend of Rs 30 per share was announced. Muthoot Finance also opened 177 new branches during the period.

Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs)

Shares of oil marketing companies, including Indian Oil, BPCL, and HPCL, are in focus after petrol and diesel prices witnessed a fresh spike of Rs 3 per liter on Friday. This revision comes in response to rising global energy prices, prompting companies to partially transfer the burden to consumers.

Adani Group Companies

Adani Group shares are under scrutiny following multiple reports indicating that US authorities are moving to resolve fraud charges against Gautam Adani, potentially ending a criminal case. In a notable transaction, GQG Partners Emerging Markets Equity Fund, which held a 1.59% stake in Adani Enterprises, sold 58.92 lakh shares (0.45% stake) to SBI Mutual Fund for Rs 1,435.15 crore, executed at Rs 2,435.6 per share.
