· · 2 min read

Tata Investment Corporation Ltd. shares, a multibagger over the long term, have seen a correction for up to two years. However, brokerage Ventura suggests a short-term bullish trend reversal could be on the cards, setting a target of Rs 725.

Shares of Tata Investment Corporation Ltd., a non-banking financial company (NBFC) within the Tata Group, have experienced a significant short-term correction after delivering multibagger returns of up to 267% over five years and 910% over ten years. The stock has posted negative returns for investors over the past two years, with its market capitalization recently falling to Rs 30,999 crore.

As of the current session, Tata Investment stock was trading over 1% lower at Rs 611.75. The company's shares are currently below their 5-day, 10-day, 20-day, 30-day, 50-day, 100-day, 150-day, and 200-day moving averages, indicating prevailing weakness.

Ventura Predicts Short-Term Bullish Trend Reversal

Despite the recent downturn, brokerage firm Ventura has issued a short-term bullish outlook for Tata Investment shares, setting a target price of Rs 725. The brokerage identifies support levels at Rs 608, Rs 593, and Rs 578 in the event of further declines, recommending a stop loss at Rs 566 for trades.

According to Ventura's analysis, the stock entered a downtrend after reaching a high of Rs 750.50 in September 2026. It subsequently fell below crucial moving averages, including the 200-day Simple Moving Average (SMA), signaling a weakening trend. The decline continued with the formation of successive lower lows, touching Rs 596 in October 2026.

Technical Indicators Support Recovery

During the correction phase, the stock traded within a descending channel and consolidated in a narrow range between Rs 596 and Rs 637.80. However, recent buying interest at lower levels has triggered a recovery. After forming higher bottoms, the stock registered a falling wedge breakout on its daily chart, accompanied by healthy trading volumes.

A bullish candle pushed the stock to Rs 625 in October, surpassing highs from preceding sessions. Momentum indicators, including the Stochastic RSI and Williams %R, also support the improving outlook with positive crossovers. Ventura notes that this breakout, backed by volume and strengthening momentum, suggests a potential short-term trend reversal, though sustained follow-through buying will be critical for recovery.

Tata Investment Corporation functions as an investment company, primarily focusing on long-term holdings in equity shares, debt instruments, and other securities across diverse industries. Its income streams are derived from dividends, interest, and capital appreciation.
