Hyundai Motor Company has globally premiered its all-new Bayon SUV at the Paris Motor Show, positioning it as a significant evolution in the compact B-segment. The launch is part of Hyundai's broader European growth strategy, alongside the European debut of the new Tucson.

Key Enhancements for the New Bayon

The latest iteration of the Bayon is designed to offer a more confident, connected, and comfortable experience for drivers and passengers. Hyundai has focused on improving both its aesthetic appeal and practical utility.

Spacious and Comfortable Interior

  • Advanced Displays: The Bayon features available dual 12.3-inch curved displays, providing a modern and intuitive interface for infotainment and driver information.
  • Connectivity: Enhanced with Hyundai Digital Key 2, wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and wireless charging capabilities, ensuring seamless integration with personal devices.
  • Passenger Comfort: The SUV boasts increased rear legroom and class-leading head and shoulder room, alongside heated and ventilated front seats, reclining rear seats, and rear ventilation for an elevated comfort experience.
  • Luggage Capacity: It offers a substantial 440 liters of luggage capacity, making it highly practical for daily use and longer journeys.

Performance and Powertrain Options

Initially, the Bayon will be available with 1.0 T-GDI petrol engines, offering 90 PS and 115 PS options. Hyundai plans to expand the powertrain lineup in 2027 with a 1.6 HEV hybrid variant, projected to deliver 138 PS and CO2 emissions starting from 102 g/km.

“The all-new BAYON is much more than an update. We have strengthened its SUV character with a bolder design, more space, more comfort and technologies that customers would normally expect from larger vehicles,” stated Xavier Martinet, President and CEO of Hyundai Motor Europe.

This launch underscores Hyundai's commitment to the European market, with significant investments planned to localize production and further solidify its presence over the coming years.
