· · 3 min read

Shares of Tata Investment Corporation Ltd. have been under pressure for two years, despite significant long-term gains. Analysts provide technical insights and price targets for the debt-free Tata Group stock.

Shares of Tata Investment Corporation Ltd., a prominent Tata Group non-banking financial company, have been caught in a bear grip for the past two years. Despite its 'multibagger' status over a five-year period, with a 405% surge, the stock has dipped 8% in two years and 7% year-to-date. From its record high of Rs 1,184 on October 3 last year, the stock has fallen 45%.

On Thursday, the stock closed 4.59% higher at Rs 646.70, with a market capitalization of Rs 32,719 crore. The Relative Strength Index (RSI) stands at 49.8, indicating a neutral position, neither overbought nor oversold.

Analyst Perspectives on Tata Investment Corporation Stock

Technical analysts offer varied outlooks on the future trajectory of Tata Investment Corporation stock:

SMC Global Securities

Shitij Gandhi, AVP - Equity Technical Research at SMC Global Securities, noted that the stock is consolidating within a broad rectangular pattern on short-term charts, reflecting indecision. He highlighted repeated rejections near the Rs 700–705 resistance zone, suggesting weakening short-term momentum. The crucial support level is identified around Rs 620–625. A sustained move above Rs 655 could reignite buying interest, pushing the stock towards Rs 680 and Rs 700. Conversely, a decisive break below Rs 620 would invalidate the consolidation and could lead to further declines. The overall outlook remains range-bound with a cautious bias.

Anand Rathi

Jigar S Patel from Anand Rathi indicated support at Rs 625 and resistance at Rs 680. He suggested that a clear breakout above Rs 680 could pave the way for an upward movement towards Rs 700. In the immediate term, Patel expects the stock to trade within the Rs 625-700 range.

Bonanza

Virat Jagad, Sr. Technical Research Analyst at Bonanza, advised against aggressive new entries due to the stock consolidating around a key resistance cluster. He recommended waiting for a decisive breakout above Rs 670–Rs 680 (above the 200-day EMA) before considering long positions, or buying on a pullback near strong support at Rs 600–Rs 620. A confirmed breakout, according to Jagad, would target Rs 740–Rs 760 initially, with a stop loss below Rs 580. While recent high-volume buying from lower levels is positive, the stock remains capped beneath several key exponential moving averages, and a neutral RSI near 48 confirms the need for a sustained move above resistance for trend continuation.
