Cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar has made a substantial addition to his real estate holdings, reportedly acquiring a 3.86-acre land parcel in the popular hill station of Lonavala for around ₹70 crore. The acquisition, finalized through three separate conveyance deeds, was registered on September 4, 2026, according to property registration data.
Details of the High-Value Acquisition
The total land area of 3.86 acres (approximately 15,601.78 square meters) is located in Lonavala’s Maval Taluka. The ₹70 crore sum was distributed across three transactions: a 3.09-acre parcel secured for ₹63.69 crore, another parcel for ₹4.56 crore, and a third for ₹1.75 crore, which includes an existing built-up structure of about 2,100 sq ft. Tendulkar holds 100% ownership of the largest 3.09-acre parcel, while he possesses a 50% undivided share in the two smaller properties.
The sellers for these transactions were identified as Nandan Dhananjay Mehta and Vivaswat Dhananjay Mehta. The deal involved a stamp duty payment of approximately ₹4.20 crore, along with registration fees amounting to ₹90,000.

This latest investment in Lonavala complements Tendulkar's already impressive real estate portfolio. His primary residence is the iconic sea-facing “Dorab Villa” on Perry Cross Road in Bandra West, Mumbai, a five-storey mansion he acquired in 2007 for around ₹39 crore.
