New Delhi is preparing to welcome global dignitaries as India hosts the 18th BRICS Leaders’ Summit at the state-of-the-art Bharat Mandapam on September 12-13, 2026. The summit, themed 'Building for Resilience, Innovation, Cooperation and Sustainability' with a 'Humanity First' approach, will gather leaders and representatives from BRICS member countries and partner nations for crucial diplomatic and economic discussions.

The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has outlined a comprehensive two-day agenda, emphasizing inclusive global governance, multilateralism, innovation, and sustainable growth. The schedule includes a mix of closed-door deliberations and public-facing sessions, aiming to foster greater cooperation among participating nations.

Day One: September 12, 2026

  • Afternoon Arrival: BRICS leaders will begin arriving at Bharat Mandapam, Level 2, with an official photo opportunity provided via clean feeds.
  • Closed Session: At 2:35 PM, leaders will engage in a closed session titled “Inclusive Global Governance and Strengthening Multilateralism” at the Summit Hall.
  • 'Bharat Innovates' Exhibition: The afternoon continues with the “Bharat Innovates Exhibition” at 4:25 PM in Hall 14, showcasing advancements and collaborative projects.
  • Official Photo and Plantation: A family photo of BRICS leaders is scheduled for 5:05 PM on the venue’s outdoor lawns, followed by a joint tree plantation at 5:10 PM.
  • Gala Dinner: The day concludes with a gala dinner hosted by the Prime Minister at 7:30 PM on Level 3 of Bharat Mandapam.

Day Two: September 13, 2026

  • Partner Country Arrivals: The second day commences at 9:55 AM with the arrival of leaders from BRICS partner countries and outreach invitees at Level 2.
  • Group Photo: A group photo opportunity for all attending heads of government/state is scheduled for 10:35 AM.
  • Open Session: The key public session, titled “Resilience, Innovation, Cooperation and Sustainability: Shaping the Future for Inclusive Global Growth,” will begin at 10:50 AM in the Summit Hall, Level 2. This session underscores the summit's core themes and commitment to fostering equitable global development.
