Mumbai – Rupeeflo, a financial technology firm, has unveiled nuvanta, an advanced digital platform designed to simplify and accelerate the onboarding process for overseas investors engaging with Indian financial institutions. Launched at the Rupeeflo Summit 2026, nuvanta aims to serve Non-Resident Indians (NRIs), Overseas Citizens of India (OCIs), foreign nationals, and international entities across more than 60 countries.
Revolutionizing Investor Onboarding
The nuvanta platform integrates multiple, traditionally fragmented steps into a single, seamless digital journey. This comprehensive system encompasses identity and document verification, e-notarisation, digital signing, credit risk analytics, and global payment processing. Rupeeflo claims this integration can cut down an onboarding process that typically spans weeks to less than 60 minutes.
Comprehensive Financial Services
Nuvanta supports a wide array of financial products and services crucial for overseas investors. These include opening NRE (Non-Resident External) and NRO (Non-Resident Ordinary) accounts, FCNR (Foreign Currency Non-Resident) deposits, DEMAT account onboarding, facilitating Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) and Foreign Portfolio Investment (FPI) transactions, mortgage KYC, and various financial journeys linked to GIFT City (Gujarat International Finance Tec-City).
Industry Adoption and Impact
Rupeeflo reports that over 20 financial institutions are already utilizing nuvanta. Prominent brokers like Zerodha, Groww, and Axis Securities leverage the platform for digital DEMAT account openings for their global clientele. Leading Indian and international banks are also among its users. To date, nuvanta has successfully onboarded more than 25,000 global investors.
Tackling Document Complexity
Cross-border onboarding often involves intricate requirements concerning foreign documents, authentication, and adherence to country-specific regulations. Nuvanta addresses this by supporting over 14,000 document types and having verified more than 30,000 documents. Its advanced features include e-notarisation via live interactions with licensed officers, and digital signing capabilities that support Digital Signature Certificates, Aadhaar e-Sign, and ID-backed signatures. The platform also incorporates e-apostille and robust risk analytics.
Facilitating Investment Flows
Rupeeflo's underlying technology stack has played a significant role in India's financial landscape, facilitating approximately $20 billion in FCNR(B) deposits through its integrations with major Indian banking institutions. The launch of nuvanta aligns with broader initiatives to simplify and encourage foreign investment into India, a topic extensively discussed at the Rupeeflo Summit 2026, which convened senior representatives from regulatory bodies like the RBI, SEBI, and IFSCA, alongside industry leaders.
