NCC Shares Jump 5% After Securing ₹1,076 Cr Water Supply Project in Andhra Pradesh

NCC Ltd. shares surged over 5% after the company secured a ₹1,076.71 crore contract from the Andhra Pradesh government. The project involves providing drinking water supply in the Anakapalli district over 24 months.

Shares of NCC Ltd. experienced a significant boost in early trading today, rising over 5% following the announcement of a major new order win. The infrastructure firm has received a Letter of Acceptance for a project valued at ₹1,076.71 crore in Andhra Pradesh.

The contract, awarded by the Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Department, Visakhapatnam, Government of Andhra Pradesh, is for a crucial multi-village drinking water supply scheme. This initiative will focus on the Anakapalli Segment within the Anakapalli District, drawing water from the Yeleru Reservoir.

Project Details and Scope

The letter of acceptance, dated September 26, 2026, outlines that the project is to be executed within a timeframe of 24 months. This new undertaking reinforces NCC's strong presence in public infrastructure development, particularly in vital sectors like water management.

NCC Limited specializes in a broad range of construction and project activities across the infrastructure sector. Their extensive portfolio includes industrial and commercial buildings, housing projects, roads, bridges, flyovers, environmental and water supply projects, mining, power transmission lines, irrigation, and hydrothermal power initiatives, alongside real estate development.

Market Reaction and Company Outlook

Following the news, NCC shares climbed 5.37% to ₹137.30. The company's market capitalization also saw an increase, reaching ₹8,416 crore.

This latest order further strengthens NCC's robust order book, which stood at ₹81,214 crore at the end of the June 2026 quarter. This figure represents a substantial 16% year-on-year increase, highlighting the company's consistent growth in securing large-scale infrastructure contracts.
