Myntra Announces 26,000+ Seasonal Jobs, 8,000 Delivery Partners for Festive Season

· · 3 min read

Ahead of its Big Fashion Festival, Myntra is creating over 26,000 seasonal jobs, including 8,000 delivery partners and 2,700 customer service roles. This inclusive drive doubles last year's festive workforce.

Myntra, the prominent fashion and lifestyle e-commerce platform, has revealed plans to generate over 26,000 seasonal employment opportunities in preparation for its upcoming Big Fashion Festival. This significant hiring surge more than doubles the seasonal workforce Myntra employed during the previous year's festive period.

The extensive recruitment drive aims to bolster Myntra's operations across its fulfilment centers, last-mile delivery network, and customer service departments. These additional personnel will be crucial in managing the anticipated surge in orders and ensuring seamless service for millions of shoppers throughout the festive season.

Inclusive Hiring Initiatives

Demonstrating a commitment to diversity and inclusion, Myntra's festive hiring initiative includes dedicated roles for various groups. Over 350 positions are specifically designated for differently-abled individuals. Furthermore, women are expected to constitute 30% of the workforce within the fulfilment centers, marking this as Myntra's most inclusive seasonal hiring drive to date.

The seasonal employees will be recruited from a wide array of Indian states, including Odisha, Karnataka, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, and Jharkhand. These new hires will be deployed across Myntra's five key fulfilment centers, strategically located in Bengaluru, Mumbai, Kolkata, Bilaspur, and Binola. Their responsibilities will encompass essential tasks such as sorting, grading, and packing of products.

Expanded Operational Capacity

Beyond the core fulfilment roles, the seasonal workforce will also integrate approximately 8,000 delivery partners to strengthen Myntra's last-mile logistics. An additional 2,700 individuals will join the customer service teams, ensuring that customer queries and support needs are met promptly during the high-demand period of the Big Fashion Festival.

To support its employees during this high-intensity period, Myntra has introduced a range of recognition and engagement programs. These initiatives include daily performance-based SPOT Rewards and Recognition, various team challenges, and celebratory events organized across all its fulfilment centers.

Empowering Women in the Workforce

At its Binola fulfilment center, Myntra has launched the 'She Warrior' program, a pitch competition designed to acknowledge and promote female-led innovation. This initiative provides women working on the floor with a platform to present their ideas, with successful participants receiving recognition for their contributions.

Govindraj MK, CHRO at Myntra, emphasized the company's dedication to its workforce. "The festive season brings together thousands of people who work behind the scenes to create the experience that customers see and enjoy," he stated. "As we scale our seasonal workforce this year, in addition to creating employment and income opportunities, we remain committed to ensuring our people feel supported, recognised, and truly part of the celebration."

Myntra is also prioritizing enhanced delivery speed for the festive period. By expanding its workforce in fulfilment, last-mile delivery, and customer service, the company aims to significantly boost its capacity to process and deliver orders faster during the Big Fashion Festival, redefining convenience for its customers.
