The Initial Public Offering (IPO) of Kolkata-based Lumino Industries commenced for subscription today, August 27. Investors can apply for a minimum of 182 shares.
Strong Brokerage Recommendations
Several brokerage firms have issued positive reviews for the Lumino Industries IPO, largely recommending a 'subscribe' rating for both long-term investment and potential listing gains. Analysts point to the company's reasonable valuations, robust financials, integrated business model, and superior capital efficiency as key strengths.
Swastika Investmart noted that Lumino's IPO is priced at a meaningful discount compared to its peers in the EPC and cable sectors, based on both P/E and growth-adjusted valuation metrics. The firm highlighted Lumino's impressive return on net worth (RoNW), suggesting efficient utilization of shareholder capital, though it advised prudent position sizing due to customer concentration risk.
BP Equities echoed this sentiment, emphasizing the company's integrated business model, strong order book visibility, diversified manufacturing capabilities, and improving profitability. Given the favorable long-term outlook for the power sector, BP Equities assigned a 'subscribe' rating, deeming the valuation fair.
Financial Performance and Future Outlook
Lumino Industries has demonstrated consistent financial growth, reporting a 28% year-on-year rise in net profit to Rs 160 crore, alongside a 7% revenue growth to Rs 2,089.31 crore for the financial year ended March 31, 2026. The company maintained a robust 11.71% EBITDA margin, with a PAT margin improving to 7.8%.
DR Choksey Finserv highlighted Lumino's strategic evolution from a conventional EPC player to a product-led power infrastructure company. This transformation is driven by vertical integration, exposure to high-temperature low-sag (HTLS) conductors, expansion into 11–66kV cables, new manufacturing capacity, and potential US exports. The firm believes Lumino is well-positioned to capitalize on India's multi-year power transmission and distribution capital expenditure cycle.
Anand Rathi Research supported the 'subscribe for long term' recommendation, citing the company's strong execution capabilities, ongoing capacity expansion, increasing focus on high-margin EHV substation projects, and growing exports. These factors are expected to underpin future growth, benefiting from rising investments in power transmission infrastructure, renewable energy, and electrification projects.
