Jio Financial Shares Enter Downtrend After ₹225-₹230 Support Breach, Analyst Warns

· · 3 min read

Jio Financial Services shares have entered a technical downtrend after breaking below the crucial ₹225–₹230 support zone. Analyst Hitesh Rathi notes the stock fully reversed its July-August upmove, identifying ₹200-₹205 as the next critical support level.

Jio Financial Services shares have entered a clear technical downtrend after breaking below the crucial ₹225–₹230 support zone, according to technical analyst Hitesh Rathi. This breach has significantly weakened the stock's broader chart structure, reversing a strong upmove observed in July and August.

Key Support Zone Breached

Earlier in the financial year, Jio Financial Services (JFS) stock had maintained a relatively stable position. However, the recent breach of the ₹225–₹230 zone has fundamentally altered market sentiment. Rathi told Business Today Television that this breakdown has "definitely triggered a downward selling pressure," making the stock's technical outlook more vulnerable.

For traders, the violation of such support levels is a critical signal. It indicates that buyers who previously defended these price points are no longer in control, allowing momentum to shift decisively in favor of sellers. This shift is particularly pronounced in a market already exhibiting signs of broader weakness.

July-August Rally Fully Reversed

A more significant concern for JFS investors is the reversal of its previous gains. Rathi highlighted that the stock has "entirely reversed a strong up move that it triggered in the month of July and August." He characterized this development as a bearish engulfing-style reversal, which inflicts substantial damage on the stock's overall technical structure.

Such a reversal is closely monitored in technical analysis because it implies that the preceding bullish trend has been negated, rather than merely paused. This typically leads to a further erosion of investor confidence unless the stock can quickly stabilize and re-establish new support levels.

The Critical ₹200-₹205 Zone

Despite the current bearish signals, the analyst did not express outright pessimism. He identified the ₹200–₹205 range as the next major support level, noting its importance as a swing low that the stock has not breached since its listing.

"I would be hopeful till the time 205-200 band holds," Rathi stated, suggesting that a recovery could emerge if the stock manages to stay above this crucial zone. This band serves as a vital reference point for investors assessing whether the current weakness is a deeper structural breakdown or a temporary corrective phase within a longer-term trajectory.

Broader Market Pressures Add Caution

The cautious outlook for Jio Financial Services is also influenced by the broader market environment. Rathi maintained a guarded stance on benchmark indices during the same discussion, indicating that overall market trends remain aligned to the downside, despite the possibility of intermittent relief rallies.

For shareholders of Jio Financial Services, this implies that any potential rebound in the stock might remain tentative unless both its specific chart patterns and the wider market conditions show sustained improvement. For now, the technical charts clearly signal a weakening trend, with the ₹200–₹205 range being the critical line for investors to monitor closely.
