Pradip Halder, Founder and CEO of PHD Capital, has provided a bullish outlook on specific Indian equities, namely Gujarat Mineral Development Corporation Ltd (GMDC) and IDFC First Bank Ltd, during a recent interaction. Halder also shared his perspective on the broader domestic equity market, noting its positive structure.
Nifty50 and Broader Market Outlook
Halder maintains a positive view on the overall domestic equity market. He identifies 24,000 as a significant support level for the benchmark Nifty50 index and anticipates a potential move towards the 24,650-24,700 range in the near term. Investors are advised to focus on fundamentally strong stocks given the positive broader market structure.
Gujarat Mineral Development Corporation (GMDC) Analysis
For Gujarat Mineral Development Corporation (GMDC), Halder sees considerable upside potential from current levels. He recommends that new investors consider buying GMDC shares, while those already holding the stock should maintain their positions. According to his analysis, GMDC has the potential to rally significantly, with a target price range of Rs 850-900 in the near term.
On Friday, GMDC shares closed at Rs 563.15, marking a gain of 0.61 percent.
IDFC First Bank Ltd. Stock Levels to Watch
Regarding IDFC First Bank Ltd. shares, Halder advises existing investors to continue holding their positions. He suggests maintaining a stop loss at Rs 76 to manage potential downside risk. The private lender's stock is currently facing immediate resistance in the Rs 93-94 zone. Halder indicates that a decisive breakout above this resistance level could trigger the next phase of a rally, potentially pushing the stock towards the Rs 110-120 range.
IDFC First Bank shares settled at Rs 84.70, experiencing a slight dip of 0.04 percent on Friday.
“Only a decisive upmove beyond Rs 93-94 can trigger the next leg of the rally towards Rs 110-120,” Halder stated regarding IDFC First Bank.
