Bajaj Finserv Ltd. has posted robust financial results for the second quarter of fiscal year 2027, with its consolidated profit after tax (PAT) climbing 25% year-on-year to reach Rs 5,952 crore. This strong performance for the September quarter saw the company's shares rise by 2% in early trading on Tuesday, November 3, 2026.

Strong Revenue Growth Fuels Profitability

The financial services conglomerate reported a significant increase in its consolidated total income, which rose 17% to Rs 43,416 crore, compared to Rs 37,215 crore in the same period last year. This revenue growth was a key driver for the improved profitability.

For the first half of FY27, Bajaj Finserv's consolidated PAT stood at Rs 12,249 crore, marking a 22% increase from Rs 10,076 crore in the year-ago period. The consolidated total income for H1 FY27 also saw an 18% rise, reaching Rs 85,453 crore.

Detailed Profit Figures and Adjustments

Beyond the headline figures, the consolidated profit after tax attributable to the owners of Bajaj Finserv increased by 23% to Rs 2,758 crore in Q2 FY27, up from Rs 2,244 crore a year earlier.

The company also provided an adjusted measure of consolidated profitability, which accounts for investment-related mark-to-market (MTM) movements. Excluding unrealized MTM gains or losses and including realized equity gains, the consolidated PAT was Rs 2,978 crore, a 22% increase from Rs 2,449 crore in Q2 FY26. Bajaj Finserv noted that its insurance subsidiaries' investment portfolios, which include equity securities classified under fair value through profit and loss (FVTPL) and fair value through other comprehensive income (FVTOCI), can introduce temporary volatility due to unrealized MTM movements.

Standalone Performance Highlights

On a standalone basis, Bajaj Finserv also demonstrated strong growth. The company reported a total income of Rs 2,047.15 crore for the quarter, a notable increase from Rs 1,481.28 crore in the previous year.
