Abhijeet Dipke, founder of the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), has firmly rejected claims of a division between himself and prominent climate activist Sonam Wangchuk. The clarification comes amidst social media speculation fueled by Wangchuk's absence from Dipke's recent public remarks following the conclusion of the Jantar Mantar protest.
Addressing the rumors, Dipke reiterated his profound admiration for Wangchuk's contribution to the movement. "How can I ever forget his sacrifice? There is no question of that. Sonam sir's contribution to this movement is beyond words," Dipke stated, highlighting that Wangchuk's 26-day hunger strike was instrumental in galvanizing national support and inspiring participants from across the country.
Wangchuk's Impact on the Movement
The speculation gained traction after Dipke did not specifically mention Wangchuk in a video message released post-protest. However, Dipke maintained that such an omission should not be misconstrued as a sign of strained relations, asserting that his respect for the activist remains unwavering.
