Samsung India has launched an innovative payment solution for its latest foldable smartphones, the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra and Galaxy Z Fold8. Under the expanded Galaxy Forever programme, consumers can now benefit from significantly reduced monthly EMIs, making these premium devices more accessible.
Galaxy Forever Plan: Lower EMIs and Flexible Ownership
The core of this new offering is a 'bullet-payment' option. Buyers will now pay 60% of the device's total cost through 24 equal monthly installments (EMIs), along with the standard Galaxy Forever programme fee. The remaining 40% of the device price is deferred as a single 'bullet payment' due at the end of the two-year tenure.
Samsung states that this structure effectively lowers the monthly EMI burden by 25%. For instance, the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra will see its EMI drop from ₹9,417 to ₹6,997, while the Galaxy Z Fold8's EMI will decrease from ₹8,584 to ₹6,416.
Post-Tenure Options and Assured Buyback
At the conclusion of the 24-month period, customers have several flexible choices:
- Upgrade: Return their current device and transition to the newest Galaxy model available.
- Retain: Pay the outstanding 40% bullet payment to keep their Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra or Fold8.
- Return: Simply return the device and exit the programme without further obligation.
The programme also includes an assured buyback option, providing value for those who wish to upgrade or return their device even before the full 24 months:
- 10-11 months: Up to 55% buyback value
- 12-13 months: Up to 50% buyback value
- 14-18 months: Up to 45% buyback value
- 19-25 months: Up to 40% buyback value
Additionally, the Galaxy Forever plan bundles Samsung Care+ protection, offering coverage for accidental and liquid damage without requiring processing fees.
