· · 3 min read

KRAFTON India has rolled out the BGMI 4.6 update, featuring the supernatural Midnight Hunters mode, the return of Ocean Odyssey, and the new India-created character Kiaraa. The update also brings Diwali-themed content and various collaborations.

KRAFTON India has officially launched the highly anticipated BGMI 4.6 update, introducing a wealth of new content designed to enhance the player experience. This major update brings a supernatural battle mode, the return of a fan-favorite aquatic adventure, and an original India-focused character, alongside festive Diwali celebrations and exciting brand collaborations.

Midnight Hunters Mode Unleashed

The centerpiece of the BGMI 4.6 update is the new Midnight Hunters mode, available on the Erangel map from September 16 to November 16. This eerie, supernatural-themed experience transforms familiar locations into zones of paranormal activity. Rozhok, Mylta, Quarry, and Gatka are now designated Vampire Takeover points, while Stalber and Sosnovka Military Base host the Nightkeeper’s Hunter Guild.

Players in Midnight Hunters can engage in Guild Missions, utilize a Hunter Shooting Range, explore a Clock Tower, and discover Scream Crates. The mode introduces formidable new adversaries, including Bloodwalkers, Nightbats, the Vampire Elder, and the Nightkeeper.

A standout feature is Bloodline Awakening, a mechanic that allows eliminated players to respawn as Vampires. Up to 20 Vampires can be active simultaneously, wielding unique abilities such as Claw Strike, Absorb, Blood Sense, and Blood Amberfication.

“Midnight Hunters is a genuine departure—we have changed what happens to you after you are eliminated,” said Srinjoy Das, director of marketing and product management at KRAFTON India.

Ocean Odyssey Makes a Return

Responding to popular demand, BGMI is reintroducing the Ocean Odyssey themed experience starting September 30. This mode transports players to an underwater world, featuring the Ocean Palace, Trident, and the Kraken, offering a distinctive departure from the traditional battle royale format. Both veteran players and newcomers will have the chance to explore its unique challenges and environments.

Kiaraa Arrives with Diwali Celebrations

An original character IP from KRAFTON India’s in-house art team, Kiaraa, will debut in BGMI on October 8. Kiaraa is central to a new Diwali-themed Indian Bazaar located on Erangel. Players can activate four peacock-shaped lamps at the Bazaar to awaken Kiaraa and enter a Boss Fight Zone.

The Kiaraa Nakshatra Collection includes exclusive items such as the Divine Peacock Glider, Divine Radiance SCAR-L, Divine Chariot Buggy, Arrow Rain Emote, and the Divine Edge Machete.

Adding to the festive spirit, BGMI will host its first India-specific Diwali Prize Path from October 22 to November 15. This 20-level event offers a variety of rewards, including the Revel 01 Set, Diwali Gold Set, Royal Enfield Continental GT 650, and Royal Enfield Bullet 350.

New Collaborations and Creator Content

The BGMI 4.6 update also brings a series of exciting collaborations:

  • One Punch Man: A collaboration begins on September 21, featuring a Spin and Mini Royale Pass.
  • Lincoln Motor Cruise: Running from September 16 to November 9, this event introduces the Lincoln Model L and Lincoln Navigator Black Label.
  • Techno Gamerz: A collaboration launching on October 20, offering a dedicated voice experience, the Sunken Templar collection, and themed weapon content.

KRAFTON also noted the growth of its WOW ecosystem, which now boasts over 50,000 created maps, with more than 35,000 currently live. The company reports that over 23 million BGMI players have engaged with the mode, with nearly one million users playing it daily.

Further content, including the Platinum Soulmeister collection (September 25), Sanguine Sonata (October 25), and Umbral Scorpius (November 1), is planned throughout the season to keep players engaged.
