Anthropic's Managing Director for India, Irina Ghose, highlighted that localized inference significantly simplifies the transition for businesses from pilot AI projects to large-scale deployments.

Anthropic plans to train over 5,000 professionals through its partner ecosystem, aiming to build a strong foundation of local AI expertise. Beyond compliance, Anthropic is actively contributing to India's cybersecurity landscape. The AI startup has collaborated with key national bodies like the Data Security Council of India (DSCI), MOSIP (Modular Open Source Identity Platform), and OpenG2P (Open-Source Government-to-Person Payments) on several cybersecurity initiatives.
Claude AI is already being leveraged for AI-assisted security testing, helping organizations identify vulnerabilities, rigorously test software security, and fortify their overall cybersecurity systems. Additionally, the AI model is playing a role in digital public infrastructure (DPI) projects, which are essential for delivering public services such as digital identity, payments, healthcare, and other government functionalities.
To further improve Claude's performance in Indian languages, Anthropic has partnered with Karya, aligning with the New Delhi Frontier AI Impact Commitments.
