Addressing shareholders at Reliance Industries' 49th annual general meeting on June 19, Chairman and Managing Director Mukesh Ambani outlined a pivotal shift for the conglomerate, placing artificial intelligence at the very center of its upcoming growth trajectory. Ambani emphasized that India must transcend its role as a mere consumer of AI solutions developed overseas, instead advocating for the nation to cultivate its own robust capabilities and emerge as a global leader in the field.

Reliance Intelligence is being developed as a comprehensive business encompassing AI infrastructure, platforms, and services, expanding the group's digital footprint beyond Jio's established telecom and consumer internet operations.

The company is transitioning from merely adopting and integrating existing solutions to actively developing its own intellectual property in-house.
