Actor and politician Vijay, head of the Tamizhaga Vetri Kazhagam (TVK), has filed his election affidavit for the 2026 Tamil Nadu Assembly polls, disclosing substantial financial details. The affidavit shows his total assets to be ₹648.85 crore, with liabilities amounting to ₹7.63 crore. His movable assets alone are valued at over ₹426 crore, while immovable assets stand at approximately ₹222 crore.
Loans and Advances Exceeding ₹75 Crore
A significant part of Vijay's financial disclosures involves loans and advances extended to various individuals and entities. The affidavit details over ₹75.5 crore in such provisions, highlighting his financial engagements beyond personal wealth.

Smaller advances were also reported to Jason Sanjay, Divya Saasha, and other associates and linked entities.
Massive Bank Holdings and Fixed Deposits
Vijay's affidavit also shed light on his substantial cash holdings and investments in fixed-income instruments. A single Indian Overseas Bank savings account in Saligramam holds over ₹213.36 crore. Additionally, he declared balances across accounts with Axis Bank, HDFC Bank, SBI, and ICICI Bank.
His investment in fixed deposits totals ₹100 crore, distributed among four banks:
- Axis Bank: ₹40 crore
- Indian Overseas Bank: ₹25 crore
- HDFC Bank: ₹20 crore
- State Bank of India: ₹15 crore
Other Assets and Income
Despite his considerable wealth, Vijay's exposure to equity markets remains minimal, with shares valued at just about ₹19.37 lakh, including holdings in Jaya Nagar Property B Ltd, Indian Overseas Bank, and Sun Paper Mill.
His immovable assets, exceeding ₹222 crore, comprise residential and commercial properties across Chennai and Kodaikanal. Residential properties are valued at over ₹117 crore, and commercial assets at over ₹82 crore. The affidavit also lists luxury vehicles, including BMW, Lexus, and Toyota Vellfire models, collectively worth over ₹13 crore, along with gold, silver, and diamond jewellery valued at more than ₹6 crore.
Vijay, whose TVK secured 108 Assembly seats, indicating a significant political presence in Tamil Nadu, reported an income of ₹184.53 crore for the financial year 2024-25.
