Shares of Transrail Lighting Limited, a prominent player in the Transmission & Distribution (T&D) sector, saw a significant rise on Wednesday following the announcement of new order wins. The company secured fresh contracts valued at ₹408 crore, which drove its stock up by 5.48% to ₹485.95.
The newly secured orders primarily consist of a major Gas Insulated Substation (GIS) Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) project in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, alongside several domestic orders. These additions bring Transrail Lighting's total year-to-date order intake to an impressive ₹2,429 crore.
Growth in T&D Sector
Randeep Narang, MD & CEO of Transrail Lighting, commented on the company's continued success, attributing it to increasing global T&D expenditures. "We continue to garner new orders on the back of the increasing T&D spends worldwide," Narang stated. He highlighted the MENA region substation project as a testament to the company's advanced skill sets in high-technology ventures, emphasizing a balanced growth strategy across both domestic and international markets.
