Titan Company announced a robust Q1 FY27 performance, with net profit soaring 65% to ₹1,699 crore. Revenue increased 24.3% to ₹18,101 crore, driven by strong growth across its jewellery, watches, and eyewear divisions.

Titan Company Limited has reported a significant financial uplift for the first quarter of fiscal year 2027 (Q1 FY27), with its net profit surging by 65% year-on-year. The Tata Group-backed consumer lifestyle firm posted a net profit of ₹1,699 crore, up from ₹1,030 crore in the same period last fiscal year.

Total revenue for the quarter also saw a substantial increase, climbing 24.3% to reach ₹18,101 crore, compared to ₹14,564 crore in Q1 FY26. This strong performance was underpinned by healthy demand across its diverse product portfolio.

Overall Financial Highlights

The company's operational efficiency improved, with Earnings Before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation, and Amortisation (EBITDA) growing by 57.1% to ₹2,564 crore, up from ₹1,632 crore in the year-ago period. This resulted in an EBITDA margin of 14.2% for Q1 FY27, a notable increase from 11.2% in Q1 FY26.

Profit Before Tax (PBT) for the quarter stood at ₹2,429 crore, reflecting a 64% rise with a margin of 11.7%. When adjusted for the impact of custom duty increases on gold, PBT growth was a still robust 37% compared to Q1 FY26.

Jewellery Business Shines Bright

Titan's dominant jewellery segment, which includes brands like Tanishq, Mia, and Zoya, was a key driver of growth. The jewellery portfolio, excluding bullion and digital gold sales, expanded by an impressive 43% to ₹18,253 crore. This growth was fueled by strong festive and Akshaya Tritiya demand, coupled with the success of the company's exchange programs, all set against a stable gold price environment.

The India Business Income for the jewellery division rose 38% to ₹16,943 crore. Within this, the combined Tanishq, Mia, and Zoya businesses grew 38% to ₹15,502 crore. Caratlane, Titan's online jewellery platform, recorded a 40% growth, reaching ₹1,441 crore. The international business for jewellery also saw significant expansion, growing 136% to ₹1,309 crore, with Tanishq, Mia, and Caratlane international operations growing 65% to ₹913 crore, and the Damas core business clocking ₹396 crore.

Strong Performance in Watches and Eyecare

The watches business continued its growth trajectory, driven by premiumization trends and a sustained consumer preference for analog timepieces. The watches portfolio grew 21% to ₹1,543 crore in Q1 FY27 compared to Q1 FY26, achieving an EBIT of ₹295 crore at a 19.1% margin. The company added 34 net new stores in this segment during the quarter, including Titan World, Fastrack, Helios, and Helios Luxe outlets.

Titan's EyeCare division also reported a robust 21% growth, reaching ₹289 crore. This segment's strong start to the year was attributed to healthy demand across its product offerings and an ongoing shift towards premium products. EyeCare recorded an EBIT of ₹24 crore with an 8.3% margin and opened 7 new stores (6 Titan Eye+ and 1 Runway store) in the quarter.
