Technocraft Ventures Soars 34% on Strong Stock Market Debut

Technocraft Ventures shares listed at a substantial 34.43% premium on Friday, opening at Rs 285 on the NSE. The public infrastructure development company's IPO significantly exceeded grey market expectations.

New Delhi-based Technocraft Ventures, a prominent public infrastructure development company, made a robust stock market debut on Friday, with its shares listing at a significant premium. The company, which specializes in turnkey EPC projects across northern India, saw its stock open at Rs 285 on the National Stock Exchange (NSE), reflecting a 34.43% premium over its issue price of Rs 212 per share. Similarly, on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), the shares settled at Rs 284, a premium of 33.96%.

Successful IPO Outperforms Expectations

The strong listing performance of Technocraft Ventures surpassed initial grey market premium (GMP) forecasts. Ahead of its debut, the GMP suggested a listing pop of 18-20%, or Rs 40-42 apiece. However, the actual market response was considerably more enthusiastic, providing substantial gains for investors.

Retail investors who secured a single lot of 70 equity shares realized a profit of Rs 5,110 on their Rs 14,840 investment. High Net Worth Individual (HNI) investors, with 14 lots totaling 980 equity shares worth Rs 2,07,760, saw profits of Rs 71,540.

IPO Details and Company Profile

Technocraft Ventures conducted its initial public offering (IPO) between August 7 and August 11, offering shares in a price band of Rs 200-212 with a lot size of 70 shares. The IPO successfully raised Rs 252 crore, comprising a fresh issue of Rs 202 crore and an offer-for-sale (OFS) of 23,76,000 equity shares valued at Rs 50 crore.

The issue garnered significant investor interest, being subscribed a solid 38.69 times overall. The qualified institutional bidders (QIBs) portion was booked 42.26 times, while non-institutional investors (NIIs) showed exceptional demand with a subscription rate of 65.06 times. Retail investors subscribed to their allocated quota 25.35 times.

Established in 1998, Technocraft Ventures focuses on executing engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) projects primarily for state governments and government agencies. Its operational footprint covers key regions including Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Rajasthan, and the National Capital Territory of Delhi.
