Tata Power's MD and CEO, Praveer Sinha, forecasts sustained strong performance across its rooftop solar, cell manufacturing, and transmission & distribution businesses in the coming quarters of FY27. Utility-scale projects are also expected to boost growth once operational.

Tata Power's Optimistic Outlook for FY27

Tata Power Company Ltd. anticipates robust and sustained performance across several of its key business segments in the upcoming quarters of the 2027 fiscal year. Praveer Sinha, the company's Managing Director and CEO, shared this positive outlook in an exclusive interview on Tuesday, highlighting significant contributions expected from its diverse operations.

Sinha specifically pointed to strong growth prospects in the rooftop solar sector and the manufacturing of solar cells and modules. He stated, "I think in next few quarters you will see very good sustained performance in rooftop, in our manufacturing of cell and module."

Key Growth Drivers: Solar and T&D

Beyond solar manufacturing, the company's transmission and distribution (T&D) business is also slated for strong results. Sinha expressed confidence, noting, "In our transmit and distribution business, you will see very good performance in the subsequent quarters."

These segments are central to Tata Power's strategy, reflecting its commitment to expanding its renewable energy footprint and strengthening its core infrastructure services. The focus on both generation and distribution underscores a comprehensive approach to energy provision.

Utility-Scale Projects and Operational Stability

Looking further ahead, utility-scale projects currently under implementation are expected to significantly contribute to Tata Power's growth once they become operational. Sinha explained that these projects, upon completion, will immediately operate at full capacity, bringing a broad range of benefits in the subsequent quarters.

Furthermore, the CEO emphasized the critical role of existing operations, which are projected to remain stable. He stressed the importance of ensuring that all current assets operate at their optimum levels to maintain efficiency and profitability.

Sustained Momentum Expected

Praveer Sinha concluded by reiterating the company's overall growth trajectory. He indicated that the growth momentum observed in the current quarter is not only expected to continue but to further improve in the subsequent periods, signaling a confident outlook for Tata Power's financial performance and market position.
