Nitesh Tiwari's 'Ramayana: Part 1,' starring Ranbir Kapoor, has secured over ₹14 crore in India's advance ticket sales for its November 5 opening day. The film has sold 2.62 lakh tickets, with Hindi versions dominating pre-sales.

Nitesh Tiwari's highly anticipated film, 'Ramayana: Part 1,' has achieved significant early success, recording ₹14.05 crore in India's advance bookings for its opening day on November 5. According to trade tracker Sacnilk, this figure includes blocked seats, with net pre-sales standing at ₹11.33 crore.

The Ranbir Kapoor-starrer has already sold approximately 2.62 lakh tickets across 6,134 shows, showing an impressive 19% occupancy rate well ahead of release. The National Capital Region leads in ticket sales, contributing ₹2.75 crore, followed by Mumbai with ₹1.94 crore and Bengaluru at ₹1.75 crore. The advance booking window officially opened on Dussehra, and momentum has steadily built since.

Hindi Version Dominates Advance Sales

The Hindi-dubbed version of 'Ramayana: Part 1' is the primary driver of domestic pre-sales, accounting for approximately ₹10.16 crore, which is 86% of the total advance collections. The Kannada-dubbed version follows with ₹1.27 crore, contributing 11%, while the Telugu version has collected ₹37.85 lakh, making up about 3% of the pre-sales figures reported by Sacnilk.

Strong International Performance

Beyond India, the mythological epic is also demonstrating robust international appeal. Sacnilk reports that overseas advance sales for the opening day have already surpassed $2 million, with more than a week remaining until the film's global premiere. North America alone has contributed significantly, grossing $750,000, including $550,000 from premiere screenings.

Yash's Role Boosts South Indian Market

Actor Yash, who portrays Raavana in the film, is also playing a crucial role in its distribution. His production banner, Monster Mind Creations, is handling the Karnataka distribution of 'Ramayana: Part 1.' This strategic move is expected to enhance the film's reach and audience engagement in Karnataka, where advance bookings have already reached around ₹2 crore. The Kannada-dubbed version alone accounts for approximately ₹1.27 crore of this figure.

The film has established a broad network of regional distribution partners across South India, including Dil Raju for Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, Think Studios for Tamil Nadu, and E4 Entertainment for Kerala. This comprehensive distribution strategy, combined with Yash’s immense popularity, is poised to bolster the film's box-office performance across southern markets.

Outlook for Opening Day

With just over a week left until its release, the advance booking numbers for 'Ramayana' are projected to climb further as more shows and screens are added. These strong early collections highlight a significant demand, particularly within the Hindi-speaking regions and for premium viewing formats. Should this trend persist, the film is well-positioned to achieve one of the strongest advance-booking bases of the year, though final box office collections will ultimately depend on walk-ins, spot bookings, and post-release word-of-mouth.
