· · 2 min read

Swiggy has introduced Guru, an AI assistant designed to help its restaurant partners manage daily operations, track sales, and handle advertising campaigns from a single chat interface. Available 24/7, Guru supports over 2.7 lakh restaurants across 720+ Indian cities.

Swiggy, a leading food delivery platform, has rolled out a new artificial intelligence assistant named ‘Guru’ to empower its restaurant partners. This innovative tool aims to simplify everyday tasks, allowing restaurant owners to manage various aspects of their business—from tracking sales and orders to orchestrating advertising and discount campaigns—all within a single chat window.

24/7 Support and Comprehensive Insights

Available around the clock on Swiggy’s dedicated restaurant partner app, Guru offers extensive support. Restaurant owners can utilize the AI assistant to check crucial financial details, including payout summaries and tax reports. Furthermore, it provides the capability to instantly initiate, review, and modify advertising campaigns, offering unprecedented control and flexibility.

Optimizing Sales and Menu Management

Guru is designed to do more than just administrative tasks. Restaurant partners can query the AI for insights into their sales and order performance, identify underperforming areas, and receive actionable suggestions for improvement. The assistant tracks over 30 key metrics, including sales volume, order counts, and average order value, providing a holistic view of business health over time.

Beyond sales, Guru also offers valuable menu-related suggestions. Partners can use the AI to add new menu items, craft compelling descriptions, and identify their top-selling dishes by analyzing category performance.

Broad Accessibility and Strategic Vision

To ensure widespread adoption and ease of use, Guru supports more than 20 Indian languages, including Hindi, Kannada, and Telugu. This multilingual capability makes the service accessible to a diverse range of restaurant owners, allowing them to interact with the assistant in their preferred language.

Rohit Kapoor, CEO of Swiggy Food Marketplace, highlighted the company’s commitment to integrating AI into daily workflows. “Integrating AI into their everyday workflows is a natural next step in our journey together,” Kapoor stated, emphasizing that AI is crucial for improving business efficiency. He added that Guru is engineered to deliver 24/7 support, expedite query resolution, and provide performance insights to foster business growth.

Swiggy has confirmed that Guru will be deployed across more than 720 cities, serving over 2.7 lakh restaurant partners. The company's objective with this tool is to facilitate easier operational management, enhance profitability, and grant partners access to real-time business intelligence.
