Analyst Confidence Amidst Volatility
Despite recent corrections and significant prior gains, brokerage firms maintain a positive outlook on Sterlite Technologies stock. They anticipate the share price could more than double from its current levels, attributing this potential growth to several key factors. These include a robust and expanding order book, escalating demand from data centers, strategic capacity expansion initiatives, and strong financial performance.
Strong Financial Performance Fuels Optimism

The company’s net profit soared by nearly 128-fold year-on-year to Rs 517 crore, a significant jump from Rs 4 crore in the year-ago period. The firm emphasized the exceptionally strong multi-year growth visibility, backed by the record order backlog, which includes a 1.2 billion multi-year hyperscaler order win, a landmark $1.11 billion AI data center contract, and substantial domestic telecom orders.
Future Outlook and Target Prices
Management has maintained its FY29 revenue target of Rs 20,000 crore while upgrading its FY29 EBITDA margin target to 30%. They expect to achieve better margins than those recorded in Q2FY27 for the remainder of FY27. JM Financial reiterated a 'buy' rating with a target price of Rs 1,020, projecting consolidated revenue, EBITDA, and PAT CAGRs of 51%, 91%, and 302% respectively over FY26–FY29E.

Identified Risks
Analysts have, however, highlighted several potential risks that could impact Sterlite Technologies' trajectory. These include challenges in sourcing critical raw materials, a sharp contraction in hyperscaler and data center capital expenditure, the imposition of trade barriers such as anti-dumping duties, ongoing tariff wars, lower telecom capital expenditure intensity, and various legal and regulatory risks.
