Land Rover has introduced its latest ultra-luxury offering, the Range Rover SV Sawai Collection, exclusively for the Indian market. Priced at ₹4.90 crore (ex-showroom, New Delhi), this bespoke series is limited to a mere 18 units globally, underscoring its exclusivity and the growing demand for highly personalized luxury vehicles in India.
Inspired by Rajasthan's Royal Heritage
The SV Sawai Collection draws its unique design ethos from the architectural grandeur, artistic traditions, and rich cultural identity of three iconic Rajasthani cities: Jaipur, Jodhpur, and Jaisalmer. Developed through Range Rover Bespoke, the collection features three distinct editions, each with only six examples:
- Sawai Jaipur: This edition boasts a rose-tinted exterior paired with an Ecru interior, a direct homage to Jaipur's famous 'Pink City' architecture.
- Sawai Jodhpur: Reflecting the 'Blue City,' this variant features a soft blue exterior, complemented by Liberty Blue carpets and matching leather-bound interior finishes.
- Sawai Jaisalmer: Capturing the essence of the 'Golden City' and its desert landscape, this edition embodies a golden character.
Each vehicle in the collection is further distinguished by 23-inch 'Champagne' alloy wheels, an 'Atlas Silver' exterior pack, and Range Rover branding adorned with elegant 24-karat gold-plated surrounds. A personalized plaque, indicating the edition name and its unique '1 of 6' numbering, adds to its collector's appeal.
Performance and Uncompromised Luxury
All three editions of the Range Rover SV Sawai Collection are powered by a robust 4.4-litre V8 petrol engine, delivering 395 kW (approximately 530 bhp) and 750 Nm of torque. The powertrain is mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission and features all-wheel drive, ensuring commanding performance.
Configured as a four-seater, the SUV emphasizes rear-seat comfort and luxury, prioritizing an opulent passenger experience over maximum practicality. This collection marks Range Rover’s third India-specific Bespoke series, following the successful SV Ranthambore and SV Masara editions, solidifying the Range Rover SV's position among India's most expensive and exclusive SUVs.
Land Rover has confirmed there are no plans to increase production beyond the initial 18-unit run, making these vehicles highly sought-after collector's items. Buyers can select any of the three city-themed editions, all offered at the same ₹4.90 crore ex-showroom price in New Delhi.
