Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor has acquired four land parcels in Pune's Pimpri village for ₹16.42 crore. These transactions, registered on April 30, involve plots ranging from 8,900 to 43,800 square meters.

Bollywood superstar Ranbir Kapoor has significantly expanded his real estate portfolio, purchasing four distinct land parcels in Pune's Pimpri village for a total of ₹16.42 crore. Data from real estate analytics firm CRE Matrix confirms these transactions, which were all registered on April 30.

Details of the Pune Land Acquisition

The newly acquired land is situated in Pune's Mulshi taluka, with the individual parcels varying considerably in size, from 8,900 square meters to a substantial 43,800 square meters. Kapoor's investment included a payment of ₹82.13 lakh in stamp duty for these properties.

  • One large parcel, measuring 43,800 square meters, was purchased for ₹7.07 crore, incurring a stamp duty of ₹35.40 lakh.
  • Another significant plot, spanning 29,900 square meters, cost ₹4.62 crore, with a stamp duty of ₹23.13 lakh.

The sellers involved in these transactions include Arun Sriram Luthra, Naveen Sriram Luthra, and Mala Umesh Mehta.

Ranbir Kapoor's Ayodhya Investment

This Pune acquisition follows Kapoor's earlier high-profile land purchase in Ayodhya. He acquired a parcel at 'The Sarayu,' a premium development by the House of Abhinandan Lodha (HoABL), for approximately ₹3.31 crore. This plot covers an area of 2,134 square feet.

Reflecting on his Ayodhya investment in May, Kapoor stated, "I believe Ayodhya has chosen me, and I have just answered this calling. Ayodhya is deep rooted in our history and is a critical part of our cultural fabric. This land at The Sarayu became my gateway to ensuring this becomes a part of my legacy for my family."

Growing Celebrity Interest in Ayodhya Real Estate

Ranbir Kapoor's investments are part of a broader trend of renowned personalities acquiring property in Ayodhya. Bollywood icon Amitabh Bachchan also purchased a 15,000 square feet land parcel at 'The Sarayu' for ₹15 crore.

These deals underscore a significant surge in demand for luxury branded land developments within India's revered spiritual city. Ayodhya's real estate market is experiencing robust growth, driven by substantial government investment, enhanced connectivity, extensive infrastructure development, and a remarkable increase in tourism. Annual visitor numbers have soared from around 5.75 crore before the temple construction to 23 crore between January and June 2025, solidifying its emergence as a leading destination for spirituality, culture, and real estate investment.
