Superstar Rajinikanth's latest crime thriller, 'Jailer 2', continues its impressive run at the global box office, crossing the significant milestone of ₹700 crore worldwide gross in just 13 days. This achievement makes it the first Kollywood (Tamil cinema) film to reach this benchmark, solidifying its position as a major commercial success.
India Box Office Performance
By the end of its second Tuesday, the film's net collection in India reached ₹415.65 crore, with a gross collection of ₹486.50 crore. The Tamil version remains the primary contributor, accounting for ₹289.10 crore net. Telugu collections stand at ₹78.90 crore, Hindi at ₹41.40 crore, and Kannada at ₹6.25 crore.
Weekday and Weekend Trends
'Jailer 2' opened strong with ₹59.70 crore on its first day. Its initial robust performance saw collections of ₹37.10 crore (Day 2), ₹47.25 crore (Day 3), ₹55.85 crore (Day 4), and ₹42.35 crore (Day 5), followed by ₹46.80 crore on Day 6. Its first-week net collection closed at ₹317.20 crore.

Global Milestones and Overseas Momentum
The international market has been a crucial driver for 'Jailer 2's' overall success. Overseas earnings contributed ₹14 crore on Day 11 and ₹2.50 crore on Day 12, culminating in a total overseas gross of ₹257.50 crore after 13 days.
With a cumulative global gross of ₹744 crore in 13 days, 'Jailer 2' has emerged as the highest-grossing Indian film of 2026 worldwide, surpassing Bollywood's 'Drishyam 3: The Conclusion', which collected ₹576.35 crore. The Rajinikanth-starrer has also outpaced other major Tamil films like '2.0', 'Leo', the original 'Jailer', and 'Coolie' to become Kollywood's first film to achieve the ₹700 crore global benchmark.
